Plush
Far larger and more
huggable than the action figures, these are the largest (12 inches high) forms you can
find the Ducks in. All of the figures are made out of different types of cloth, and have
hollow PVC plastic heads.
Wildwing
With slightly angular looking and hollow
feeling armor, Wildwing's plush is nonetheness very accurate to his original character
model. His puck launcher is on his correct wrist armor, unlike his action figure
incarnations. He also has accurate kneepads and boots, and superb detailing on his belt
and armor. His fingers look a bit flat, but it detracts little from a great job with the
overall look.
Nosedive
Nosedive's accurate portrayal goes right down
to the characteristic rip in his pants. I have no complaints about this guy, other than
the fact that his eyes look a little too small on the facial mold, and the beak a little
too big in relation to his hair. Nosedive has some rather intricate stichwork done in his
gloves and fingers, as well as a pouch in his belt that actually opens and seals with a
velcro tab.
Mallory
Mallory has the best plush, in my opinion.
The stitchery in her hands, belt, boots, and shoulders are well done, and her facial
sculpt seems to be well in proportion. She also has a wrist com, unlike Nosedive and
Wildwing. The only female plush Duck, Mallory is considered slightly more valuable as a
collectible item than the other plushes.
Duke L'Orange
With many detailed accessories, Duke's plush
is also very well done. However, he seems to suffer from the same disproportionate eyes
and beak that Nosedive does in his facial sculpt. Duke comes with well-stitched hands,
belt, and shoulder straps. His sabre is also strapped to his shoulder. The pouch on his
belt opens and closes with a velcro tab. Duke also has a com unit stitched onto one arm.
Notes: These
plush Ducks are long gone from stores, but have been known to appear in toy outlet stores,
which are used to sell overstock and clearance items that toy stores have been ordered to
ship out. These toy outlets are often associated with outlet mall chains. Another place to
find them from time to time is on online auctions, where they are often sold mint in their
boxes.
